The Chevron that I’ve known and loved for 25 years it’s just not the same. Our share of cost for benefits has increased so much, the changes in our disability plans and mental health has been astounding. Did you know that if someone dies in your group now, they send you a phone number? They don’t send Chevron people to help. How does this even make sense? We’ve made so much money this year and we are whittling away. What made Chevron special.

We’re headed the way of Dodo bird. 🦤
When I started at Chevron a long long time ago Health Care (Kaiser California) was free for many years. It’s unfortunate.
The OPs sentiment is spot on. In my 20 years I have seen a distinct shift away from valuing career employees. At the same time I think they have had to close the gap with peers on TR to attract and retain talent as the “human energy” doesn’t carry much weight any more.
This has got to be a snowflake troll post from an outsider. Seriously, people. No one in the Oil & Gas Industry behaves like this.
@OP corporations are not people.
