@qn Using Nokia's AI-RAN to turn the 5G network into a distributed edge AI computer?

Turn the entire 5G network an AI computer?

Why did the hair on the back of my neck just stand up?

AI sitting quietly off to the side during every call, every word typed, every site visited, every financial app etc in every state in every country....

It's just there to ensure the network is operating efficiently. It is contained by safeguards that protect us.

Yeah? How's that containment been workin' for ya there Sparky?

Not too good.

@qn "Translation for phone calls in over 50 languages"

Not sure our AI has even managed to get one language down yet for customer service. 😂

@qj Yeah. Just looked it up after seeing more buzz again today.

What are we doing to compete with this? This is being covered by a bunch of telecommunication sites and I don't see anything comparable being said about Verizon. Not even Verizon is talking about 5G improvements on this level. We are turning everything into fiber and data centers.

AI-RAN Infrastructure: T-Mobile is collaborating with NVIDIA and Nokia to integrate AI directly into cell sites and mobile switching offices, turning the 5G network into a distributed edge AI computer.

Real-Time Agentic AI: T-Mobile introduced network-integrated features like real-time Live Translation for phone calls in over 50 languages, working natively on any phone without requiring special apps or hardware upgrades.

Network Automation: The carrier has expanded AI-powered AutoPilot capabilities for self-organizing network adjustments and rolled out nationwide Dynamic CX technology to optimize performance and anticipate demand ahead of major events.

Efficiency Goals: Live testing shows early spectral efficiency gains of 10% to 30%, with expectations to hit 50% spectral efficiency by the end of 2027 and 100% by the end of 2028 using Nokia's AI-RAN equipment

@ea Awwww. Turn that frown upside down little buckaroo!!!

There's nothing to be sad about when T-Mobile customers are being delighted by improved wireless 5G service with added features that Verizon doesn't have.

Heckaroonies, our AI is even rated higher than Verizon's in customer surveys that are actually taken by customers and not management pretending to be customers. Who does that? Not us. No siree Bob.

We're delighted!!! Are you delighted? We hope you're delighted!!!

Since Dan wants customers to be delighted and it looks like the big V is having a little problem in the "delighting" department. T-Mobile is happy to step in and delight Verizon's customers for them. We'll even let Verizon watch, the stock price that is, because the delight will be seen every day as the price goes higher and higher.

It's a win win win win!!!!

A win for the customers, the employees, the shareholders and T-Mobile.

The customer is always first because without them, we would all be sitting in the unemployment line along with... Oh... Oops. Awkward.

I ported my family to T-Mobile as soon as forced RTO was announced. No regrets so far!

@bz More fuzzy math to support the Verizon approved narrative.

Spin masters to the end with the easily deceived in line and to get their talking points for the day. "Thank you sir, may I have some more?"

T-Mobile today $162.41
Verizon today $46.45

is no a comparison. VZ has 4Bilion shares vs 1B for TMUS

TMUS is down 18% year to date and down 32% from a year ago.
VZ is up 14% year to date and up 7% from a year ago.

VZ yields 6% vs TMUS yield 2.5%

VZ is the winner this year so far.

And this, @a9+1m35dxwfw, is a prime example and what @bd is talking about.

Someone once said that numbers and mathematics were the only things that you could not distort it because 2+2 will always equal 4.

Verizon managers (who live and die by hitting KPIs):

"Hold my beer..."

@b2 What is going on over in V-Land? Looks like Verizon managers are only winning at distorting the facts and finding people gullible enough to believe it. Have any of you ever actually tried to confirm any of the propaganda you're spewing out to your coworkers? Or is it your intent to mislead them into following a batch of lies? It only takes a little bit of effort and common sense to prove you are being lied to. But that may be the problem and it may explain why Verizon is in the shape it's in right now. Too many managers pushing false narratives to look good who manage too many people not willing to verify what they're being told and prefer to be told what to think rather than trying to think for themselves. How sad is that? Do better people. This is nothing to be proud of and brag about.

@a9
10% drop in one week?
Let's put that in context.

T-Mobile today $162.41
Verizon today $46.45

Now what point were you trying to make? You'll believe anything. No wonder you guys are getting laid off.
