@ec Yep! And for some reason the remaining workers seem to be extremely slow to pick up that our country is being taken over in plain sight but just has been occurring for years, probably a decade or more now.

But now the ramping up is under way, because, one, they know American workers are beginning to catch on, and, two, they have already made enough progress in replacing American citizens with Non-American citizens, along with flooding our country with H-1B Visa workers that will never leave the country, even after losing their jobs.

We all know that no one wants that.

It was rich when the topic of layoffs and HIH came up. He said something along the lines of how "most of Cigna's business is based in the US, so there will always be some presence there obviously."

That pesky US market. This company has been stolen from us right under our noses.

Work faster, smarter with less so the c-suite can continue taking more, more, more. Got it.

No. No layoffs for the foreseeable future.

@an Medicare yes, Cigna no longer sells any Medicare as of the 2027 OEP for Medicare. Many other providers have cut their exposure and exited completely or greatly reduced the zip codes they offer any Medicare coverage to, reduced benefits offered for MA plans, and increased prices they charge consumers. They have also removed sales commissions on a ton of plans. So no sales agent guy is going to "help" a big chunk of seniors find new plans as they won't get paid to do so now on many plans. Those Medicare overides the carriers pay to the big and small IMOs/FMOs won't be as lucrative for them so they are shifting resources to push downstream agents to sell life, supplemental, and financial planning /services so they can get thier overides. Medicare is not the cash cow it was for the carriers, agents, and IMOs that it was.

Obamacare / Medicaid is hurting too as the government took a big chunk of the Medicare cash cow to help fund the Obamacare marketplace. So as cost to the carriers go up with less government cash available, cost to the consumer go up, profits tank. Again many big carriers are exiting the Obamacare/Medicaid market or reducing investments to manage cost and profits.

I see where you’re going, and you’re coming from a good place. However, the flaws in your logic are:

1. Assuming nonprofits are actually non profits.
   This business arrangement may not be publicly held, but it doesn’t mean that there aren’t exorbitant salaries, and the profits made are typically given as bonuses.
2. Assuming nonprofits are somehow more efficient. This is verifiably incorrect.
3. Assuming there’s less waste within nonprofits. This is also verifiably incorrect.

Honestly, I just wish the federal government (CMS) would end the contracts with all of the for-profit health insurance corporations, ours included, and instead contract with non-profit corporations. I mean, that would really be in the best interest of both Medicare and Medicaid members.

I don't know how many people caught this but our new insurance product is insurance for your insurance and it's a Netflix pricing model. You simply cannot make this stuff up.

@a9 Yeah, that is the part of the problem. Really only a handful of corporations should even be using AI because only they have the capabilities and know how.

Having leaders at a health insurance corporation trying to use AI tools effectively, is like having a four year old attempt to correctly and effectively use the surgical tools of a cardiology surgeon in performing open heart surgery.

All these badass new AI tools and this fool can never get his slides to connect.

@a7 I have never seen a Tech meetings like this, something is fishy, trust issues everywhere, and the meeting ended 10+ minutes early..

That meeting was some low energy slop.

We're not generating enough use of AI, i.e we're not using AI at scale here. Agile is probably coming to an end soon and moving to AI evolution.
Unlike the other town halls where you can post slido questions anonymous, this one requires registration/ hence there was not a lot of questions.
