Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Trading Comp.

Does anyone have insight into how compensation is handled during the Trader Development Program (TDP), and what typical compensation looks like for traders after completing the program?

Why in the he44 would a trader work for XOM to receive roughly one fifth to one tenth of peer pay (ask me how I know)?

What a dumpster fire! Typical XOM senior leader arrogance!

If you get into the TDP you remain on standard XOM CL guides and ranking. Look at how many people in Houston are on the TDP or want to be on TDP and then look how many actually passed the final trading test to actually become a P4P trader. There were a few individuals that failed the test who were already trading and they were removed from their roles. They ended up leaving XOM to trade at other companies. The former executive that was brought back to lead the creation of the TDP said it was a complete joke of a program. XOM is going to end up like p66 with too many TDP graduates and not enough trading spots. Moreover, XOM is still hiring external traders into positions that should be filled by TDP graduates. Good luck

I wish I knew. Are a lot of traders still leaving? For years the attrition has indicated to me it was. Not a great place to work likely due to low compensation compared to other options.

As expected… no one will engage in meaningful conversation here!!!
Safe to assume- Trading folks are doing just awesome and they don’t need to visit here!
