@td the real question is why the Corporation had to make room for D Ammann - wasn’t it because of poor investment decisions by the leadership that led to the Engine I challenge which caused board changes and led to external hires like Ammann ?

And … what credentials does Ammann have - he ran Cruise division of GM into the ground and lost billions of cash funded by a.o. GM, Honda, MS and the likes.

Similar to the guy from GM that orchestrated Lilium IPO via a SPAC after which Lilium went broke and billions of public equity was wiped out next to cash losses …

@rc+1m32s44ty

The corporation needed to make room for the GM Executive, D. Ammann and the mandatory retirement age at ExxonMobil is 65 years old for Senior Executives.

Why Joe Blommaert Retired from ExxonMobil
Joe Blommaert retired from ExxonMobil after 35 years of service, choosing to step down from his role as president of ExxonMobil Low Carbon Solutions

According to ExxonMobil’s official announcement, Blommaert had been leading the company’s newly created Low Carbon Solutions business since its launch in 2021. The role was designed to commercialize ExxonMobil’s low‑emission portfolio in areas such as carbon capture and storage, hydrogen, and low‑emission fuels

ExxonMobil’s CEO and chairman, Darren Woods, said the company “welcomes” Blommaert’s successor, Dan Ammann, and thanked Blommaert for his “contributions to the company’s success and the significant progress made in developing our lower‑emissions business”

The retirement was a voluntary decision rather than a forced exit, and it followed a long career with ExxonMobil Chemical starting in 1988 as a process engineer in the Netherlands, later moving through regional leadership and senior vice‑president roles

In short, Blommaert retired because he elected to end his career at ExxonMobil after three and a half decades, marking the conclusion of his tenure as head of the Low Carbon Solutions business

@rc maybe because he did not support making ammonia in general let alone making it in USA and shipping it to Asia.
Or maybe he did not support some of the new Hydrogen technology programs !

@op The Kathy Mikels one is easy. She had health issues and wanted to spend more time with her family instead of continuing her career. I think the better question would be: why was she allowed to stay in her position as CFO while working basically from her bed for the last year of her tenure and happened to leave the month or so after all of her shares vested? Seems like preferential treatment to ensure she was fully paid out.

Dropping employees in ranking several categories should be penalized or atleast scrutnized for the manager who does it.

If new staffing ssystem is to encourage moving across teams and functions, every move is an opportunity for receiving team to tank incoming employees ranking, to save their freinds and gossip buddies. How does management plan to put protection in place? Or the plan is to just discourage all employees by calling them ‘poor performers’ for absolutely no reason?

Of course this wont be heard or recognized by our tone deaf LT, because they are pricks, but just putting it out in the universe

Why bother? I get my free refreshments after any forum. Get out of bed daily to go to the office to po-p, clock in for the day and get paid for doing so.

So what if you have your desired answers? Do you think you or any one in forum can make the difference? So naive to be thinking this way.

We need to seriously consider engaging an attorney to initiate a class action lawsuit. Do you know if there is already seeking that?

Town Hall questions are selectively screened before an Executive answers them.

You will never get any Executive to go on the record about this list until they retire.

And none of these will be answered. Ever. Actually we may get answer but they will either have no substance or will fail to provide any meaningful information that addresses the question.
