Just wanted to share just in case anyone is in the same boat as me. Since we don’t necessarily know the exact date of the severance payment, if you need cash now another option is to login into fidelity and request a withdrawal. You can request a partial or full (just pay the taxes). It processes in a couple days and if you have made withdrawals/loans in the past and used direct deposit it will go to that account in ~3 days. You can also pay the $25 fee to get a check sent overnight. This may not be possible/ideal for all but it’s an option if you need some cash now.
