Burn it all down.. this company’s incompetent obsession with Valero is destroying everything from the inside out, brick by brick. Employees: individual contributors and discipline leads are worthless, promotions are a pipe dream reserved for the Valero team all part of an a-s-backwards strategy aimed at the destruction of refining as we used to know it. The competent leadership will never acknowledge or recognize the mistakes they are making.. the stock price is a distraction while it likes their pockets.

@OP on the contrary. It means they can afford to kick the more senior employees to the curb with a severance package, which keeps them for suing for age discrimination. Great opportunity to cut labor costs.
Holidays are coming and that's when layoffs happen. It's their way of saying thanks for nothing and Happy Holidays to you.
