Welcome to the new age. Dinosaurs are having increased bumps in pay checks and bonus eating the dinner of G4's and G5's. These dinosaurs are ruthless and shameless. While principal, directors and VP's are claiming the credit of the work done by G4's and G5's.

I’m not a dinosaur, but I’m mid career, and I’ve decided that unless we see some major bump in compensation at my level or a major shift in culture, I have to start looking elsewhere.
I’m not an underachiever, I’m educated and thoughtful, I’m good at networking, and I’m staying ahead of the tech curve while doing everything that I’m told a good employee should do.
Now, with morale being as poor as it is across the board, and the apparent ignorance of our leadership, it is very hard to just smile and nod, like I used to.
I sometimes get chewed out by internal associates simply for copying them in an email. I don’t get paid enough for this.
Anyone that is 50+, take the next month off. Let's see how the 'young folk' do. Would be a fun experiment.

LOL The people complaining about the dinosaurs can’t do half the work they did building the company while supporting their families, paying mortgages at higher interest rates than exist now, providing their kids with education and vacations, saving for retirement that will actually happen, and on and on.
If all you have is whining, you really have nothing to offer.
