@bm Xfinity is the only thing available. However someone did knock on my door a year or so ago and asked if I was interested in 5G Home Internet and how Verizon was in my area installing some kinda boxes and yada yada yada. And I said there is the tower over there. What are these boxes? Do they overcome the signal issue because my 5G phone barely works here as it is and literally gets worse depending on the direction the wind is blowing. He just smiled and said he understood and left. Never seen a sales person give up so easily so he must have heard that a lot and knew no one was interested.

@bk I think at home maybe but in places like grocery stores where I used be able to use my phone and employees say they noticed the same issue started a couple of years ago, I don't feel safe using public WiFi. I tried a couple of times until I saw everything they wanted access to on my phone so I noped right out of their WiFi.

@bh This a layoff board. Perhaps your question would be better suited for a technology board. For what it’s worth, you seem to know more than the average person about 5G.

@OP If you have cable from Spectrum or Xfinity, you can port your number to them. They use Verizon or T-Mobile outdoors but they automatically connect you to WiFi wherever they have service indoors which is in many, many places.

@bg WiFi calling is a good option when indoor coverage is poor or non-existent and unlike a network extender it’s free and doesn’t require installing new equipment.

I don't know because my job is completely unrelated to anything about how cell phones work.

I asked because after I got 5G it looses signal when I enter almost any building and used to only do that before I got 5G when I walked into a commroom due to the thickness of the fire walls and steel framework or because they were shielded like at high security sites.

I asked because it would be nice to hear something positive about Verizon's 5G so maybe things will improve and layoffs may slow down and there would be need for growth.

I asked because I trusted that Verizon might have professional techs that understand what is actually happening behind what this report says.

Since that is clearly not you, please step aside and let the grown folk talk for a minute.
