Thread regarding CVS layoffs

CVS stock

Does anyone have a line into investor relations or corporate communications who can tell us honestly why the stock is down $20 in the past two months. I know DJ and BN stumbled on the last earnings call giving the 2027 forecast, but there's no reason I can see why the stock is in free fall. Any wisdom that you have?

Third quarter ends next week. Expect the earnings call not til around November 4th wednesday Rumors of layoffs usually start circulating in October with some type of vague mention at that earnings call and layoffs starting that Thursday.

I wish they would sell off Aetna. Let’s us get back to stock worth $200 a share so I can retire from this dump.

CVS is run by dinosaurs that are always 12 months behind and constantly getting sc--wed by gujarati outsourcers. CVS isn't a real company, just a thin shell of hard workers holding contracts together, being preyed upon by hundreds of thousands of indians lying about their google cloud credentials. Why would anyone with real knowledge of CVS invest in it? Because d-mb a-s Tilak repackaged his last "Super App" flop as Health 100 and now we are supposed to care? Get real

Basically, healthcare/insurance stocks are generally defensive investments. When there was that big drop in tech/the overall stock market in late July CVS was a beneficiary as people rotated into "defensive" investments. The reason its down more now is due to the earnings call fallout plus the reversal of that climb as the market has rebounded significantly since.
