A few hundred, maybe. Please stop lying to people. We'd know and it'd be all overt the news if it were 3k.

@OP The question is not about 3, 300, or 3,000. We should ask why there is less hiring in the US and more hiring offshore. Why are there minimal immigrant layoffs but more citizen layoffs? The company doesn't care for its citizens. We all agree that it is a global company, but that shouldn't mean uplifting another country's middle class while making its own citizens poor.
For those who lost their job, 1 is too many,
@OP smells like something HR would say. Hi Sara!
you manually counted them all? either get back to work or quit lying.
Do you genuinely think everyone who gets laid off comes onto this forum to report it? Or that Citi has enough HR professionals globally to coordinate every single announcement on the same day?
This is a strategic process. It happens in stages across different regions, business areas and seniority levels. And if you think Citi isn’t actively managing the media narrative around this, you’re being very naive.
Just three hours ago, Financial Careers published an article highlighting that the average length of service at Citi exceeds that of the other tier-one banks. That kind of coverage doesn’t appear in a vacuum. This is the groundwork and narrative management that happens before the full extent of the restructuring becomes visible.
Shut the he-l up and stop lying to yourself and everyone. It was more than 3k and even if it was or wasn’t, why do you care so much to come on here and correct people. Take your bootlicking vibes somewhere else.
