Me and my entire team are now hoping to be cut. Severance sounds great in face of continued toxic culture and constant uncertainty.

@h0 Same here - opened a ticket with the People Office...no response.
@h1 - very constructive and probably not relevant as this site relates to layoffs. Do you get out at weekends? The fresh air would probably help.
Our company contracts with FIS and your company absolutely su-cks. Your technology & your people are awful. You charge too much & make way too many errors. Your programmers su-ck co-ck. We ha-te you.
I eventually found I am better off after being let go but I was supposed to get my first severance check on the 15th and still don’t have it. I can’t get anyone to respond to my emails and the phone number I was able to get off the internet says the mail box is full so I can’t even leave a message. I can’t believe after 28 years with FIS this is the kind of treatment I get.
I’m going on parental leave soon so I’m sure I’ll be “randomly selected”
I am hearing some of FIS's best technical people are leaving. They have had enough of being treated like cr-p with Sr. Execs get bonuses, etc.
I was let go before the rebadging changes occurred and was fortunate to receive my severance as a lump sum. Although I spent most of my life fearing layoffs, when it finally happened, I felt surprisingly relieved and happy.

That's how I felt. The stress and uncertainty was horrible. Last day was 8-31 and I was expecting to feel sad I lost my job. I don't- sleeping better at night and overall I'm happier and more pleasant to be around. Everyone's situation is different but this pushed me to early retirement. Good luck!
