When will they cut people whose main responsibility is to collect information and repeat it to someone else, from one meeting to another? All of them are still here.

@c4 In theory, layoffs are about eliminating positions, not individuals. In reality that rarely happens. Only when an entire team is let go (and I have seen that happen) is it true. But in most cases the victims are chosen for a variety of reasons. And HR makes sure that the collective group is sufficiently diverse to avoid any appearance of bias.
this happens everywhere, but certainly there are a lot of non-productive folks still there.
If you removed the right people, after that Oracle would need hundreds of promotions!
Politics determines who is alid off in most cases, very rarely it is justifiable performance concerns.
