So you don’t think they are hiring in non US locations which would increase the number of employees?
Some of you really are unable to be helped.
I’ve posted factual information here previously and had people like you counter it just for me to be proven correct within a couple months.
Quit posting your guesses and feelings. Post actual facts like my numbers showing the breakdown between US and non US and India.

It is very hard to believe that 800 ‘a.nal’-ists were hired between April and now. And then of course, we just came through a layoff event and that came with a big reduction (soon to be another). The 47097 was the number before the annual report was cut for this year. Their data is not real time, you realize. And in some cases, it is outright far fetched whoppers. Such as 98% of all employees using Eliza.

OP here. Numbers are accurate, pulled directly from BNY systems. You must not be up to speed on the analysts that have been hired.

OP your numbers are already obsolete. BNY had 46,300 employees as of April of this year and after the August shredding, we are somewhere around 44,200 now. And soon to decline further.
And of course India is approaching a majority of employees firmwide. All this from a US based company which is supposed to hire outside its local venues only for skillsets that arent available. Hence the name - BN-Lie

Late 2022 Baseline (when RV took over) : ~24,000 to 25,000 employees (estimated from the 51,700 global total and demographic distributions).
Current Baseline: 19,187 employees.
Estimated Domestic Reduction: 4,813 to 5,813 fewer U.S. roles (a drop of roughly 20% to 23% of the domestic workforce).
This disproportionately steep decline in the U.S. compared to the global net reduction (~4,603 roles) highlights a deliberate strategy under Robin Vince's tenure:
Hub Consolidation: BNY has aggressively consolidated its expensive U.S. footprint, reducing its office spaces in major hubs like New York and Pittsburgh.
Offshoring to Global Growth Centers: While U.S. headcount dropped significantly, the bank has scaled up hiring in lower-cost international growth centers, particularly in India (Pune and Chennai), Poland (Wroclaw), and the UK (Manchester).
This explains why the global headcount drop is smaller than the U.S. drop alone, many U.S. roles were effectively moved overseas.
What political and corporate "leadership" in the USA has done to our own citizens and country by not only orchestrating, but accelerating this sh!tshow, and continuing to allow it to overrun and compromise our businesses and degrade our quality of life, is no less than outright TREASON.
They should all be summarily tried and prosecuted for TREASON.
This isn't just an inconsequential matter of outsourcing or even immigration policies gone bad...it's a systemic conspiracy to undermine American workers, families, and our way of life. It's an overtaking, an invasion, an attack. It's not only harmful, it's ILLEGAL.
