So we have Smiles Week and looks like lots of effort going in to make this a good event, but wait who is actually doing work? The same folks that always are busy and those who have spare time ie no work are organizing. They are not admin staff they are university graduates being paid to make PepsiCo better. Come on Snr Leads open your eyes and get some work for these that have no work or get them out. You now want us these people in the office more so please monitor their output.

I used to look forward to these weeks. PepsiCo used to have culture and did stuff for people. We had field events, and they wanted us to have some fun. Now it’s AI, grind, AI, layoff, AI, work 2 job, AI.
Is this the new employee appreciation week? Did it already happen? If so, I received zero appreciation or acknowledgment of EAW. At least in the past few years I received a thank you to the team email. Possibly that is too much to get right these days?
I was reprimanded for saying employee appreciation week by an HR director. Gave me the dead eye and said smiles week smile 🙃. It was eerily similar to a black mirror episode.
Trying to force a week of smiles while the rest of the year is a frown is getting old
The only people smiling to the bank is VPs and above
I recall my Channel Manager delegating ME (L7 KAM at the time) the responsibility of organizing our EAW event …. That extra work really made me feel appreciated 🤣🥴
