I got one of those "try linkedin premium for free" trial months, which also allows you to see how many others clicked apply rather than just the "100+" (which is already bad in itself).
Last job I applied for had ~700 applicants in just a couple of days. Good times.

I’m getting some requests for interviews, and I’m still WITH Dell. Even from outside of industry (which is a first), such as Fintech - wherever relationship / leadership / strategic partner skills are needed.

Honestly, picking up an AI PhD or an MBA right about now feels like having a literal cheat code for the job market. Every single tech firm is scrambling for high-level minds. If I had the chance to run a dissertation or capstone project today, I'd totally leverage it to get face-to-face time with top execs and map out where the industry's actually bleeding…
Took me almost 2 years to get a new job. I needed to go back for some training to start getting call backs and I now make a little more, can work from home, not watched by management and treated like an adult.
True story, take it for what it's worth, but when I listed Dell on my resume, I was getting zero calls and zero interviews.
So I decided to remove Dell and just list engineering contractor for all the years I had been at Dell. I immediately started getting calls and interviews and now have a great job with a far better culture and better pay at a competitor's company.
Listing Dell on your resume is the kiss of death.
Took me a year, but then I found a great role at a fantastic company, now been 14 months since. :)
