All TPD move to GTS in 4 months major possibility

@mm You forgot to enlightened everyone by telling us what it means.
GTS (Global Technology Solutions): Verizon's enterprise-wide, engineering-centric global technology organization. It oversees overarching digital transformations, core infrastructure, architecture, technology strategy, and planning across Verizon's domestic and international hubs (including major operations in the US and major centers in India).
TPD (Technology Product Development): A specialized product engineering and development arm (often nested within or working closely alongside Verizon's broader Global Network & Technology / GTS units). TPD focuses heavily on building application-layer software, core 5G assets, network APIs, IoT capabilities (such as integrations with ThingSpace), and product-level cybersecurity infrastructure.
But given that Verizon hands out acronyms by the thousands, and they aren't checked for relevance or duplication, there may be many more.
This message chain is a joke! No one knows what TPD stands for!
TPD merging with GTS is impossible. Multiple layers of leadership will have to collapse to make that happen and that is not the strategy our leaders are grown to work with.
The likely scenario is entire GTS gets rebadged. The new org including partial GTS and TPD under Jon becomes the new GTS as part of transformation projects.
@OP I don’t know what TPD is so they should get rid of the department
@dt you do realize TPD develops what they're told to develop, right?
TPD should be disbanded, they have not developed anything good but burned billions - go90, blue jeans, message, ugly wearable, blotware on mobile, auto driving, drones, robotics, you named them
TPD people are unbearable to work with..
Who?
TPD sounds like an STD
What is TPD folks?
@a6 that sound like every other group and I do not know what TPD is
Or GTS be part of TPD - it is a toss at this point, as both will report to Jon
TPD has become unbearable since leadership change in 2024/2025. New leaders are impulsive and lack long term business strategy.
