PIPed this month after receiving salary increase for the first half. Been with IBM 8 years. Should I expect to be let go? Can they let me go before the PIP ends? There were multiple put on PIPs in my group. We are all expecting to be let go in December if the rumors are correct.

@e7 I agree. I have my boss on video saying some pretty damning things. Filed an HR report on the advice of my lawyer to show that I followed due process, but I expect them to deny and gaslight me as they have in the past.

@OP yes, I was told the last day will be Dec 15 and last payday Dec 31. I was also PIPed after 27 years with the company. They hired an intern to do my transformation work beginning Jan1 (my current job) two days before PIP. Infrastructure fully remote worker.
You need to do some math. The exit target for this (fake) pip season is 10%. if your manager put exactly 10% of the team on pip, I am sorry, but it is over for you (your manager will use anything to fail your pip). Sometimes, managers put some extra ppl on pip, to give better optics, so some ppl will pass. This is how laughable this is. It is just theatrics
