Culture Survey

Reminder: the only metric they will listen to is not filling out the survey. We tried tanking the survey with low “My company cares about my well being” scores. Only to be subjected to a year of gaslighting and telling us, it is because we don’t know enough about our benefits, as if we all just forgot about them when RTO hit. Most lower levels of management hate RTO and having to talk about it every team meeting. At some point in the leadership chain they start to care more about their career then their employees wellbeing and simply to refuse to push back against Stankbutt. Maybe once we let them know how checked out this workforce is, they will start to tell the emperor he isn’t wearing clothes.

It is literally an “engagement” survey. It is right in the title.

Once you realize your comments and ratings don’t matter, which should have been made abundantly clear to you last August…if you are dissatisfied with leadership and the culture they have created here…the only correct action is to not “engage”. That means don’t take the survey.

“ I’m sure negative comments would have hurt them. They are good to us and the team, they roll their sleeves up and jump in with the rest of us, so they deserved positive feedback“

You seem like a nice person.

What you’re failing to understand though, is that no one cares about your comments, positive or negative.

I refuse to respond to any more of their surveys. Complete waste of time and utterly meaningless.

“ gave my boss good ratings as they deserved them…”

And what do you think they do for your AD because of your positive comment?”

I’m sure negative comments would have hurt them. They are good to us and the team, they roll their sleeves up and jump in with the rest of us, so they deserved positive feedback. I’m not going to slight my boss because the company’s policies and culture are trash.

They can’t do anything to you for not doing the surveys. They aren’t mandatory, nor are they anonymous. They want your negative results because they want you to hate your job.

If you don’t do the surveys as a group, you’ll find your work moves elsewhere next year. Or you’ll get a new hardass manager who will tighten the sc--ws on metrics.

Absolutely do not do these surveys. They only care about participation and aren’t concerned with negative responses. If anything, they want negative responses because they want us to hate our jobs. And remember, they are not anonymous!

“ The push to do it by the 17th is telling.”

They will say the people that gave bad survey responses have “moved on”, so, don’t worry about the negative responses because those people aren’t here any more

@eq There are no questions in the survey about the direct boss of anyone.

Hint: Zero. Zip. Nada.

Trust me on this.

I just keep deleting the reminders to do the surveys. No reason to do them at all.

It’s a really short survey this year. My advice is to read through the questions and then make your own decision based on how you think you should respond or not. I took it, gave my boss good ratings as they deserved them. Everyone else, not so much. One short place to write a response at the end. Took less than 5mins.

The push to do it by the 17th is telling.

Notifications going out the 18th based on what the other threads say

Unfortunately these surveys directly impact your manager. My manager is one of the best I have had and my feelings are not directed at them. Cannot even honestly provide feedback for the company without directly negatively impacting my manager, why would I provide feedback? It’s again the business not taking ownership of wanting real feedback without causing someone fear for their job who has zero impact on how the company runs.

The survey is much shorter than previous with high-level questions and only one opportunity to provide written feedback.

Even more insulting is the unnecessary paragraphs at the beginning that try to reassure you they care and will take the feedback into account.

You will be identified as a detractor by not submitting it. Anything completely negative gets thrown out as an outlier. The very first question asking if you plan to stay with the company more than 2 years tells you what you need to know about what’s really on their minds. They’ll either throw that survey out, or put you in line for surplus.

Let’s create a survey that leaves out everything that actually matters to employees. We already know what you want, but we’ll pretend we’ve addressed your concerns anyway. We just don’t want to hear anything more about it.

OP, this post is perfection. The well being bullsh*t is the absolute nonsense! They don’t care about our well being bc of RTO, commutes, presence reporting, unfair policies and occupancy within orgs, etc. But somewhere HR or someone decided it was because we need therapy and more info about our benefits. Absolute utter B S.

Shaddup. Take your fake bootlicking nonsense elsewhere. Simp.

If you are pressured by your immediate leadership to complete the survey, only complete the absolute bare minimum. In the free form section, respond with “you obviously have me confused with someone who gives a -hit”.
