just heard some of my friends in Canada just got layed off... is there other teams that are getting hit today? primary storage EE/ development is where he works.. good thing Michel dell is the second riches person in the world today..

Which sectors were impacted?
I've been around a while. I have never seen the amount of retirements announced from last year until now. I suspect part of the deal is they buy them out and tell them to state that they are retiring. Then again, maybe they've just had enough and leave.
I haven’t heard about U.S. widespread cuts. However, a couple people announced during customer calls yesterday and today - ‘today is my last day’.
I wasn’t going to ask them to elaborate in front of customers.
I work with dozens of Dell personnel every week - rarely get the full story before they’re gone.

JC, when are you going to finally layoff the horrible, incompetent leadership in ISG?
Earlier in the year, they did say they were retasking people but I don't think this is happening.
Lately, most of the layoffs are happening in R&D.
