Fwiw, when I was laid off ten years ago, I volunteered handover, because I was personally interested in company and customer success. Not sarcasm, I really meant it then and mean it now.
HR rep and my director anxiously took down my info. No one ever called.
I think they are worried that handover keeps reminding staff about the layoff, makes it too personal. In retrospect, it would be surprising if they took me up on the handover.
@a1 ok, I got contacted by boss of my former boss and he told me no engineers will be affected in this round, only managers. That's division under Fusion.
Never trust Oracle Management. They are big time liars. All managers, Directors , VPs and other senior Management folks knew from last week that they will be gone. I came to know this last week through one of my Oracle friend visiting us last week.
This morning all those folks are gone whoever she had mentioned but these scks managers/directors will pretend like it's a surprise for them as well 😝

If you didn't know, you don't have enough pals in other teams. I knew Friday from another friend. He knew from a manager there. I checked 6am and yep. Just like the business insider email post. Can't do anything. Everything is tied to sso and face recognition now
I was let go also. I am afraid to open the emails but I guess I better face the music.
Not true. My management position as well as my Director’s were impacted this morning with no previous communication. In fact we were told a couple of weeks ago that we were not on the list.
They knew Friday. 6am us east emails and access gone
my M5 boss didn't know on Friday for sure that he will be axed (US).
however, on Sunday evening he cancelled our 1-on-1, so he either knew and for some unclear reason signaled like this
or he didn't know up until disconnect in the morning and just knew that I will be axed as well, I am just a different region where email based layoffs doesn't fly, so I assume I will be soon contacted by his boss for "business update" call.
