Has anyone been told the assessment meeting themes for each rank group by their supervisor? I was shocked when I heard them. What a bunch of garbage.

Like rating you NI and ranking you based something not in your job description or an expectation not made clear by your supervisor? New hires watch out! NI in your first few years and you get the boot!
Oldest trick in the ranking book: redefine the conversation around themes that benefit your people in the roles they fill versus the other supervisors’ people in the roles they fill. If your supervisor watches it happen without critical thinking, they will actually believe that the other group is truly better than their own people and will come back and explain why your contribution was less than others. You will express concerns about your role and leave with some vague hope that your supervisor will help you expand your role to better align with the themes so you too can be a winner in the next cycle. Rinse and repeat until you get PIP’d.
