@av Wrong. Stockholders are of no concern this time. Wireless is being gutted to its core.

Perhaps but the board has been around for some time and they waited a while to do something about Hans. They are all just as guilty.

How about shaking up Dan and the rest of the C-Suite leadership as well as the Board right out the front door for declining the company in its current state of despair?!?!?

Dan is relying heavily on Alfonso, but Alfonso appears to be a PowerPoint strategist—not a leader with the technical depth or vision required to drive AI innovation.
Verizon may successfully adopt AI to automate processes, cut costs, and optimize existing operations. But optimization is not innovation. The company has systematically lost much of the telecom-domain expertise and institutional knowledge needed to use AI to create new products, capabilities, and revenue.

Hiring an AI VP from PayPal does not solve that problem. He is now program management—coordinating initiatives rather than inventing and building differentiated AI capabilities.

Leadership must understand the difference between confidence and competence. Arrogance dismisses criticism and assumes the title makes the leader right. Overconfidence exaggerates capability without evidence. A leader can be demanding, tough, and decisive—but those qualities must be supported by technical depth, sound judgment

Right now, Verizon risks becoming highly efficient at operating yesterday’s business while competitors build tomorrow’s.

Everything in that article makes sense, including referencing the twice fired Swedish meatball for underwhelming performance that allowed the stock to drop 30%. He’s a business man driving shareholder growth and he is making progress. If you were here decades ago, we will never be like we used to be culturally and candidly, we don’t need to go back. So many wasted meetings, travel, presentations and slide decks. I am aware this will be an unpopular opinion here but his plan is working.
