Has anyone else’s store become a hotbed of returns? Some days returns outpace sales significantly.

@wt+. You are so right, except they are not just bringing it down. They ruined it a while ago.
Belk attracts that type of customer for some reason. The old women who buy and return over, and over again, usually clearance clothing. It's crazy that Belk allows this to happen, it's bringing their business down.
Cosmetics is getting returns from other departments, including shoes.
We also get the customers who buy clothing, wear it, and return it. and the customers who shop online, and bring it back because they can't afford what they got, or just have nothing better to do.
@OP constant online returns at my store. I’d say 25% of returns we get are damaged merchandise, wrong items sent, mis-matched shoes, shoes that have been worn and returns with only one shoe in the box.
Idk who is packing this stuff but it’s clear they are sending cr-p just to keep up the numbers so it looks good in paper.
My department just sees a lot because the department I work in is the first place for people to come and return stuff, regardless of what department it came from. We're on the main floor and everyone sees that big customer service sign above our registers, so they'll make a beeline to our registers.
