Did anyone saw this in Q1 results ? Seems O has stopped reporting it’s restructuring plans due to hype in media

@am Today’s SEC Form 10-Q filed by Oracle specifically states that its anticipated restructuring costs are being increased by an additional $700 million. They report on this in every 10-Q and 10-K. Those reports are filed after the earnings calls and most companies, Oracle included, rarely bring up those sorts of topics in those calls. I used to work in finance. What we say in press releases and analyst calls often differs a bit from what we are required to report in SEC filings. Every public company does this. Nothing sinister about it. It is just how the game is played.
Do the math….. it’s $205 million remaining of the 2026 budget. Gees it’s not hard. The 10k may just restate a bigger figure.
It'll be in the 10Q which won't be for another week or so (historically).
@ar True, So it means if there are mass layoff in Q2 they will report in Q2 Form 10 disclosure after it happens.

@am Oracle is not obligated to report it before the deed is done. They are only obligated to report it in retrospect.
- Form 8-K: It needs to be filed within 4 business days of the event.
- Form 10-Q: It needs to be filed for every quarter and restructuring plans need to be mentioned in the quarter the event has occurred.
Since there was no restructuring event in Q1, there is no mention/report of it.
I don't think Oracle will take a legal risk like that. Companies have to report it based on accounting standards. And Oracle definitely know if they omit information the investors and securities will do lawsuits.
