Someone previously posted an email from our beloved CEO about impending layoffs and most requisitions going to India. I was laid off a couple weeks ago. Was that email or any other corporate comms ever sent?

There is literally no one at the helm of comms/marketing. It has been a horribly run function for at least 10 years. No vision, certainly no strategy or expertise. Just a series of friends of the CEO at the time who have no idea of what actual comms or actual marketing is and how they can and should work together. Oh, but let’s hire another photographer for a studio no one decided to build dedicated to taking pictures and making videos of themselves about how important it is to have an internal studio in a company that can’t afford engineers to build actual products. Award. Award. Award.

@OP No, nothing on the layoffs, but today our illustrious corpcomm team sent a nice email about remembering 9/11 and the resilience of everyone in the country afterward. And then added a paragraph comparing that to the resilience of Fiserv and it was the most inappropriate email from them yet. WTF

Leadership doesn't have the courage to address it publicly because they never cared about the people doing the work in the first place. Acknowledging it would mean taking accountability, and they’d rather just sweep it under the rug
