Too many core and services sales folks across deals.. I still cannot fathom why there are 2 separate sales orgs .. always a pi----g contest
When you learn how many people are paid based on a sale, you will understand that we have too many people.

We don't need SRP reps maybe just a few pre sales resources. Get rid of all those useless reps and 'leaders' especially in DTS

@eb No backfill is normal. Redistribution of accounts without backfill ensures sales becomes more efficient. Only the strong survive!
Has anyone seen Core SEs being laid off. I see Core SEs leaving but accounts just redistributed to the remaining team members. Corporation does not hire externally for back fill; just keep on piling up the load.
There is about 20m in annualized revenue that I retain and develop. Would that all disappear if I was let go? Maybe not. Can we trust partners to sell 20m of Dell equipment to that same business patch?
Specialist SE are needed. They are the ones to hook the customer and tell them how they're doing it wrong
@bg You nailed it! Don't forget Sr. Diistinguished Engineer, Distinguished Engineer, Sr. Fellow, Corporate Fellow, Sr Principal Engineer, Sr Chief Architect, Chief Architect. The list of redundant wasteful titles goes on and on and on...
Specialty AEs are completely useless. The only reason they exist is the SVPs up the chain justifying their existence and protecting their fiefdom.
@OP good question do we need Sr VP, VP, Sr Director, Director, Sr Mgr, Mgr, not for long if MD gets his way AI will replace them
It seems like everytime we lose a Specialty SE, it gets replaced with one from a far away land. We lose very experienced people that know their stuff to new people looking things up.
I agree that the Specialty SEs are needed. We need more.
Speciality SE's are definately needed. I am one. No one else in the company or any AI can do my job or replace me. So stick that in your pipe and smoke it.
One of their salaries would pay for 5 people in Round Rock.
