I second the RM&C morale, but some departments within RM&C are def burnt out and the constant up and down with fear of who stays and who goes just doesn’t motivate anyone. I am exhausted, drained, and feel extremely under valued.

@hg I am not understanding this part of the company culture! I know it's like this everywhere but it's so confusing.

worst part about it is knowing managers and their boot licking faves do a fraction of the work if not less.

Actively trying to find another job but hard to do when you’re over 50 and have been working here for nearly 20 years so your entire network is this bank.

I just can’t even get past the AI screenings for jobs, not a single interview. I’m even considering hiring a coach to help.

The stress level here is off the charts. It’s hard to believe I used to love working at this place! The current leadership took everything that was good about this company and destroyed it.

Now they are just Wells Fargo wannabes but without the better benefits and pay.

US Bank used to forge their own path and care about their employees. I used to feel pride about working here. Now, it’s just disgust.

@ck because I am remote. Worked my a$$ off in 2025 only to hear of my ineligibility in Nov as policies changed in October. I expect another rug pull in Q4 2026 again so worked less.

As the saying goes … Fool me once, shame on you; Fool me twice, shame on me.

There's a lot of apathy on my team for sure. Most of us are mid to mid/late career and can see the writing on the wall. It's hard to be motivated and while I wouldn't say most of us are desiring a layoff it also would not be some tragic situation. I'd shrug, take my severance and start crunching numbers to see if I have to ever worn in banking again

@ck Those are reserved for people whose work can be tied directly to significant revenue earnings, despite the fact that we all contribute to them.

@ck look at workplace politics, and they can only give the rating to top 20% so it’s extra competitive from within. However, the leadership will expect you to work your best and go extra miles but you won’t be given what you deserve.

@cb what makes you ineligible for extraordinary rankings?

Not burnt out but morale is low. In RM&C and folks lack energy on all calls. It’s the elephant in the room. Our team is in seven different locations throughout the states and management still hasn’t figured out why everyone lacks creativity and energy. Because we sit in traffic and waste precious time just to login to Teams meetings.

Not anymore. Once I learnt I am ineligible for an extraordinary rating I tweaked my effort level down to match it. Mentally prepared myself to get laid off at anytime. Given the work environment I do not feel it is a loss anyway. Burnout that was building up went away. In some ways it was all a blessing!

They worked me like a dog for close to 7 years before I left. It was nerve wracking and a lot of work to find the right exit opportunity, but I can honestly say it was the best decision I ever made. I got a 20% raise, more time off, better work life balance, and a much much better work environment. Be selective, but leave this place. It will be the best decision you ever made.

Yes! That is why I am actively applying to jobs outside the bank. I’m even looking at pay cuts. Su-ks but I know in the end a pay cut is well worth it over my health. My team is falling apart due to group burnout. Everyone on the team has developed health problems over the last 2 years as the stress has become unmanageable.
