Just the beginning of Groundhog Day for us all?! This is the daily grind personified.
I just think after 6 years of ft wfh and then hybrid this is going to be a really difficult slope to scale after a couple of months with no let us except an errant holiday or vacation day?
What were they thinking?!!
I’m exhausted just thinking about how tedious this gets and how arduous it is after a long day.
It doesn’t help and it’s not political because gas dollar for dollar was higher under Carter obamma and even joe much higher but it’s painful at the pump. The average on today’s dollar would be between $5-6 on average.

PTO days still in place.
You're spot on that inflation changes the math, but the $5–$6 average is a bit high. In today's dollars, Jimmy Carter's peak in 1980 was around $4.20–$4.35, and Obama's 2011 peak was roughly $5.30. Joe Biden's 2022 peak ($5.01) translates to roughly $5.50 today. So while those peaks hit that range, the actual overall averages for their terms were much lower. Either way, hitting over $4.20 right now definitely hurts the wallet.
@a2 oh boy that s u c k s!
It’s a pay cut we spend more for food and gasoline the electric differential is negligible comparative to fuel and food plus clothes wear out faster,
