This is pretty serious. When a law firm is already investigating PayPal over potential WARN Act violations, it tells you the layoffs are getting real and messy. Definitely worth paying attention to.

On my last layoff ## years ago, the package I signed included an agreement to not sue in connection with the extra severance amount.
Not sure how it's setup today.
Law firms do that all the time. The remedy for a WARN violation is backpay and benefits for the notice period, which is why they are keeping people on the payroll for two calendar months before their separation date. There's nothing in it for the employees to sue. Now, should the government have other penalties for violating companies? Yeah, if they actually cared about the citizens. But they don't, because we don't have lobbyists.
That link is more a pitch for business than news, in my view.
@OP Honestly, this is getting harder and harder to defend peopllee are being asked to keep delivering while decisions that can seriously impact their lives are being made behind closed doors iff there are legitimate questions around how these layoffs were handled PayPal should be transparent and accountable not just move on like nothing happened … F……ck it
