Former colleague that supports what's left of our Corporate Properties group has heard firsthand that badge readers are being installed at restroom entrances. The "company speak" is that its being done for employee safety, not monitoring your bathroom breaks ....remember when employees were getting bonked over the head in STL???? The purchase order to get the first 180 readers has been approved, and implementation will start in Charlotte and Minneapolis. you better hold it!!!! SO glad I'm out!

Give them time to hotwire the seats to see how you take to go from your desk chair to the bathroom.
I use to snooze in the lactation room at the tech building by the convention center. Khan the manager was none the wiser but I did get funny looks opening the door as a dude when I was finished napping

Or the first lawsuit from an employee who couldn't get into bathroom fast enough because badge wouldn't work. Bring it on WF!!

No way this can be true. I have first hand knowledge and our badge system can barely handle ingress and egress from our entrances. It's definitely some type of automated door opening system we need to install to be ADA compliant.

Not sure why people are doubting this will happen, and it will definitely be used against employees when firing them or getting them to quit. Think about the company in question here, folks. Stammering Chucky and his goon squad want everybody gone, and these are the things that they're doing to accelerate their plan. And it won't end with this stupid idea either. There's A LOT more craziness pending to get that attrition up before End of Q1 2027. wait and see

The majority of the time in Chandler, you can't even open the door to the can without being hit by some other fool rushing in or out on the other side.
How disconnected are people from the workplace that someone could pass out in a bathroom and no one would notice. How’s that collaboration going?

Are you sure they are badge scanners and not motion detectors to open the doors??? We have these at our office, you wave your hand and the door opens for you.
Firing a couple people for cause would accomplish the same thing and actually save money (future severance).
It is happening already especially in place where a public access is possible.

They put them on nursing room doors, so this isn't a surprise. Complete waste of money, but HY likes to do that. Just not on people.
