I finally just had to quit. I couldn't take the stress of the constant threat of layoffs, the worsening morale and infighting, and all the safety violations from folks trying to rush and get the job done with nowhere near enough staffing. Good luck to those of you sticking around, but I'd rather drown in debt than deal with that cr-p any longer.
Engineers playing a Darwinian survival game everyday no work life balance, marinating in their own stress hormones. While higher level managers fattening up their retirement portfolios. No leadership. And the usual good attitude ash kissers making things more annoying.

Same here. Everyday is a struggle to save jobs. From politics of old timers ( was manager now IC) or from LBT's changing headcount target every quarter.
Been to many manufacturing companies. Never seen this kind of hunger game.
Everyday is constantly on defense protect mode. It drains your energy daily
