They want us miserable to quit on our own. Layoffs are too expensive. I'm betting you that's their plan.

Which area are you in that is being outsourced? Are you personally being forced to retire, or did you find another position, or will you be laid off?
@dn You're right, that's just the result of their apathy towards the employees. They know people are miserable and just don't care.

It seems they are looking to get rid of experienced employees at higher salaries only to hire news one at lower salaries and/or H1.

I don't doubt that's the case for you, and many others, but in my area, we are going now straight to the next phase: layoffs. All of us are being outsourced. The employees with 30 years are being forced to retire. Some found positions in other areas (that are scheduled to be outsourced later on). The ones that could not find anything are going to be laid off. All agency and PS will be let go.

Fact: Ford is hiring a lot lately throughout the company.
Theory: Ford is preparing for a mass layoff of poor mid-term performers.
Conclusion: New blood to replace bad blood.
I keep getting mixed news from management. 3 weeks ago there was a hiring freeze. Now we've new hires starting next week.
according to linked in, they are hiring like mad. 5 new jobs just today.
Sounds like a plan.
They make it increasingly unbearable to hold on, and I proportionally ratchet down on the quality and quantity of my output as well as finding creative ways to waste resources.
All while collecting full paycheck after full paycheck. 👍
