First. I received my severance paperwork on Sept 5 around 3:42am via my personal email.
Second. Severance had less than 17 weeks it told me I would get.
Third. I didn't sign anything. It is an email on the severance you can address your questions too.
Fourth. From what I am reading it is best to sign the severance after you receive your last pay check.

Did the notification letter explicitly state 17 weeks? Did your separation date change? Was 17 an HR estimate? Did credited service change? Were three weeks something other than base severance?
@OP were you laid off outside of VSP? What you’re describing does not sound like VSP. The severance paperwork will be sent on the termination date, not the last worked day.
@ab since when does centene garnish wages for student loans? Or do you mean if centene gave us tuition reimbursement because their policy says we would not owe back any tuition reimbursement they gave us
@cv i think ur severance amount is based on your tenure - 2 weeks per year is what i have heard and the round it up.
@a4 two different things. Taxes will be taken from the 17 week severance. They are suppose to pay you for the remaining weeks of the year they shorted me by 3 weeks
@ab A student loan or 401(k) deduction would ordinarily not explain Centene changing the stated severance from 17 weeks to 14 weeks. Two separate things
@cj yes correct. I was told 17 weeks when I got the first set of severance now it says 14 weeks.
Concerning so your final severance less then original offer.
@OP do you owe any tuition or loans from a 401k?
They tax it heavily so you may receive less than you thought you were going to get .
