Nike is not good place now. We are dropping from S&P100
Is anything a good spot in Nike tech? If you are a political player, can manage up, are smug and can we-ponize incompetence, you'll fit right into CPI. pretty much describes rest of Nike.
Remember this is an org where the engg director has a degree in fashion and is responsible to implement tech solutions that impact multiple downstream business processes. Yet she couldn't spell systems thinking if her life depended on it.
I would say none of Nike is in a good spot at the moment, especially tech. Lots of changes need to happen to right this ship so plan accordingly.
One of the better tech orgs overall. Many employees have been in the org for a long time which speaks for itself. At the Sr. Director level and above is mostly not good, many leaders only manage up, empire build, only hire their own, and are only interested in cringe linkedin publicity. If you deal with them day to day, you will need to understand and be good at politics. If you don't, then you will be ok.
