Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Managing People Out

They are going to start managing people out the door that do not keep up with training, in office requirements, and so on. The announcements around this are coming any day now. I wish they would make an example now on some of the C16s that never go into the office. My boss hasn’t been in the office in a year. This other C16 comes in for 4 hours at a time. They are going to be watching our numbers but they aren’t event going in themselves.

Yep. We have a c15 that never comes in because they moved away from the site during Covid. They are still tied to the office in global directory and are not designated as a telecommuter.

Selective enforcement of rules is a huge issue at Citi. One of my colleagues was a C12 who rarely came into the office and was eventually laid off. HR targeted him because he did not follow the 3-days-a-week rule, and our boss disliked him. My colleague produced excellent work and was always available when we pinged him on Teams. However, our boss's boss rarely comes to the office. It got so bad that the building deactivated her badge. She gets to keep her job, which she is terrible at! Citi either be consistent with rules or just don't have them.
