Q4 is here, and job security at Lumen is looking more like a temporary condition than a benefit. The hyperscaler model points toward fewer Lumen employees and more contractors doing the work we used to do, while management bets on an AI/data-center bo-m that may not live up to the hype. At this point, the question isn’t whether our jobs are safe—it’s whether our names are already on a spreadsheet waiting for the next RIF

When did September move to the 4th quarter?
The layoffs for lumen will be removed from the Lumen layoffs after 2026.
No one will be left to trash talk about Lumen.
4th quarter starts October

@bb Always reminds me of an joke from back in the '80s. Robert Allen was the CEO of the old ATT company. They went thru some serious layoffs. The running joke was that AT&T stood for Allen and two temps.
