@ds Some of us did do something and ethics concluded that nothing happened even when evidence was handed over as someone described in another post. You want me to drive across the country to NJ to do what exactly? Play the recordings we can't legally make? Share the screenshots we aren't allowed to take? Maybe forward all of the email from the company servers directly to NJ state police? Invite them over to sit in on meetings and hear the plans that will never be written down to show what really goes on behind the scenes? Don't be naive. You know full well that Verizon knows how control the narrative and spin any crime into a happy accident. The only hope is for someone to clean house and bring back the pride people used to feel. And I for one have no fear of losing my job. I had one before Verizon and I will have one after Verizon. Even with the job market being what it is my inbox gets plenty of mail from headhunters. But thank you for your concern. Verizon is where I am at for the moment until they say otherwise. Then I will be somewhere else or I won't. I am good either way. Are you?

You must have a closet filled with tinfoil caps. If you saw and heard what you are stating anonymously and did nothing, then you are as big of a fraud as the people you are accusing. NJ has strict retaliation laws so please don't say you were afraid for your job.

@c3 Agreed on some level but I don't think it's about not working hard or not needed. Some people are being too general with reasons. The issue I see is something is rotten and if Finance can cleanup up what they or others have done to make them look dirty then have at it.

Does it require a full leadership change? Maybe if it is finance that is dirty.

Laying people off and shipping their work offshore is not the answer if it is leadership here that fouled it all up.

Find the bad apples and throw them on the compost pile.

Keep the workers that knew what was happening and tried to stop it and were ignored.

@bz Wanna bet? My "opinions" are based on documented facts and experience and what I have seen with my own eyes and have heard with my own ears. And then had to su-k it up as I watched it all get swept under the rug. And it was all doubly confirmed by coming here and hearing multiple stories from people I will never know but I know are telling the truth because there is no way they could have created details that matched what I have witnessed, point for point.

Did Finance sign off on all I have seen or is every other org cooking books for them while they remain unaware? I have no idea. But I do believe a couple of the orgs in question just got moved over to finance for some reason? There may be a day of reckoning coming.

Now why is it that you want to discredit that which cannot be discredited? Are you part of the group trying to sweep it all under the rug or do you know nothing of which you speak?

I’m in plant org so don’t know the entire background of Finance but I know enough you want to keep those functions in-house with internal guidance. People need to understand that we aren’t working for a small company. If you think a group isn’t working hard or needed, it’s a pretty safe bet you don’t know what type of work they do. Groups should look and fix inward first. Haters will hate.

Bunch of ignorant, toxic, jealous underlings on this thread who know nothing of which they speak.
Don't have opinions on things you don't understand.

@b8 the departments tasked with oversight of finance and the entire company have major issues. oversight is not happening and its why the company has failed. get rid of the entire leadership team- all vp’s and directors.

@b8 Seen it. Told to mind my own and shut up. It is sad that finance has no idea what is going on in their own backyard. Or maybe they do.

@ae This is funny given what I have been told of the sheer volume of financial manipulation and coverups that have taken place by departments like supply chain and others over the last three years.

Everyone is told it was all okay and approved at the top. When one person actually tried to ask finance about it a year ago, he was told it would not be in his best interest to ever do that again.

I wonder what ever happened to him. I think he disappeared shortly afterwards when the next rif came through.

What happens in your org stays in your org. Or else...

@ac "It would cost the company more money to outsource for specific groups"

For the other groups, it will cost the company more money to fix what the outsourced groups have broken and will continue to break. I was in meetings all week trying to figure out how to undo the latest mess made by an outsourced group. And this was after explaining "If you do this, it will not work and need to be fixed by another group here in the states."

They did it anyway and spent two days saying they didn't do it until it was proven to them.

They still deny it even as we are putting a group together to try and fix it and minimize the damage and financial loss to Verizon.

Finance has a world-class record of best-in-class excellence. 🏆

From HQ royalty to COE to FPAS to FPI&E to FinOps to Shadow Finance to Supply Chain—and whatever we morph into next—our organizational clarity is unmatched.

Our Spoke & Hub model is the industry standard, powered by an army of experts delivering insights nobody knew they needed.

And no variance is too small. $1 unfavorable? Assemble the task force. Get the VP. Cancel lunch. 🔍

We don’t just explain the numbers. We explain why the explanation changed since Tuesday—from Actuals vs. BV, CV, PY, Guidance, and Strat Plan by month, quarter, MTD, QTD, YTD, and FY. Because apparently, one message is not enough.

Our business partners also love our capital pipeline alignment with operating expenses. They are always in sync, perfectly coordinated, and providing exactly the clarity needed to play to win—or at least explain why we didn’t.

And the future is AI-powered: soon, artificial intelligence will identify the $1 variance, assemble the task force, brief the VP, cancel lunch, and schedule a follow-up to discuss why the variance was different yesterday. 🤖📈

Finance: proudly delivering world-class excellence through an organizational structure of excellence. 🏆🔥

Outsourcing skiadas would make the stock go down. No other large market cap company does this. What makes you think that we would be the first lol.
