Thread regarding Solventum layoffs

Is taking a new job with HIS safe right now?

Especially if it is an international division? Not sure if it is worth to leave my current job.

If PE buys it out and wants more profit then there will be a lot of instability and they will trim or cut off as much as possible.

HIS division is pretty strong with many monopoly on health care reimbursement and coding. They are also interlinked with government.

The culture is good with much flexibility on work life balance. However due to being remote there might not be that closeness or bonding that you might get compared to being in an office.

Many of the folks have been with HIS for a long long time and have worked together in an office so you might feel like an outsider for a bit.

If it’s worth it to leave your current job is something that only you can answer. From the inside: don’t take a position with a promise to promote you, make sure the offer is everything you need to say yes, anything not in writing and signed isn’t real.
