So executives are ruining the lives of colleagues who they have worked alongside for years maybe even pretended to be genuine friends with for pure greed. People whose family life may be ruined, homes lost, unable to pay medical bills etc. Do any execs have personal ethics or morals? Why don't any stand up? They go to church each Sunday with their families but turn the other way. Sad people.

A guy I hired in with fits this. He was in right time right place and got the hipo nod early. For years I would stay in touch with him but then realized he had zero interest in remaining friends.
Capitalism. Survival of the fittest. Eat or be eaten.

@OP Ethics or morals? Don’t kid yourself. You’re giving them credit they’ve never earned. And it’s absolutely not just the higher‑ups. My teammate was on a PIP and the whole team practically sprinted to the manager pretending they were “helping” him just to rack up brownie points. They knew he was miserable, and they still piled on because making his life worse benefited them. XOM breeds a very special kind of creature . I’m honestly out of vocabulary for whatever those people are.
execs get a bonus to oush a certian agnda and have a target which typically requires inhuman treatment of employees.
These are your execs, do anything regardless of conscience — for some extra dollars so they can have a bigger lawn.
