Where do you really see this place in a year? Try not to be all doom and gloom.

Layoffs will be targeted and not company wide. Those that have been put on a PIP will be let go. Once they are gone others will than be placed on a PIP and so on and so on. It's a great system.
It will be the same as it was last year and the year before
A year from now most folks still won't be happy but corporate will make a few minor employee concessions, the CES showed an emotional mutiny. The company performance will be great though. The major cracks of mismanagement won't really show up for another 3-4 years, until then the company will do well. Other than the horribly naive, every employee is thinking about their exit plan, but CVX has so many carrots that keep everyone going through the motions.
Next year will see the start of early preparations for the next re-org.
The current re-org and ENGINE were announced in 2024. Serious planning would have started in 2023. Restructures tend to occur on a five year cadence, so preparations for the next one can't be far away.
@ez
Look Bob... it's not that we're lazy, it's that we just don't care.
What I expect in a year is the same schmucks looking for their red stapler and collecting checks.
Anyone with half a brain and ambition should leave.
PSG bumps are going to VERY slow moving forward.
I think in a year, you'll be hearing more of the same: use AI, ENGINE is finally starting to find its footing, the new organization is starting to take shape, and so on. I think we'll largely be reprieved on layoffs since management doesn't seem to have figured that process out yet. If the economy improves, expect some stronger FEs to find work that's either remote or hybrid and pays competitively and for Chevron to feel the pinch.
@ax Maybe somebody is a retired Level 26? Could happen.
Posting on this site all day is your hobby, so you have that one covered, cheers!
@a2 lol if there’s 26 and above people here they really need to get a hobby. But in general fully agree, if you’re a pre-2008 hire your pension cannot be matched by any other company anywhere. Tough it out until retirement. If you’re <7 or so years in get out ASAP, you’re stupid to stick around
Lots of Indians , especially in Texas
$250 stock price. staff 95% factory or AI agents. Venezuela an incremental add to Permian, Temgiz and Gorgon. All other assets mature but cash cows, Mike Wirth retired as CEO but still chairman of the board. Happy stockholders.
10% smaller. Forced rankings will be 5% of the workforce and the constant threats from management will be another 5%. My group has hit ever metric and they have had it with threats from our leaders.
The financial folks are upbeat about Chevron, but they are looking at Chevron as an investment, not a career.
If you are 26 or above, you absolutely need to hang in there to collect the pot of gold.
Otherwise, its not worth it. Chevron does not respect you.
