Thread regarding Marathon Petroleum layoffs

Is anyone's paycheck actually matching the rising cost of everything?

Because mine certainly isn't.

Relative to the social security maximum withholding which is said to be pegged to inflation, I've lost ground every year.

When i first got hired I used to hit it in Sept or Oct. Now I hit it on my last paycheck for the year.

C-suite doesn't give a sh-t about the workers, because of their stock, they're richer than ever. Wild considering they went so far as to ban workers from holding more than 25% of MPC stock in your retirement, even though they have no such restrictions. Very convenient (for them).

Why yes, my stock options are doing swell!

I do wonder if those at the top know that what's making this company loads of money is impacting those of us towards the bottom.

You will have to look a few levels above you for the folks unaffected by inflation.
