Can we use remaining sick time during the two week notice? Do we get paid out remaining vacation time?

@OP I recently resigned; my final day was August 24th. There is a Citi policy that specifies the number of days notice required by LOB and C level.

@ad the handbook made it sound we have to give two weeks to get paid out remaining vacation
@af what do you mean sick days will count as part of the two weeks? Like if I have 3 sick days and put in 2 week notice on a Monday, I’d only work to the following Tuesday- 3 days shy of two weeks?
Also are you sure they cut access? I’ve known a few people who I assume worked through their two weeks because manager would tell the team their last day was the upcoming Friday etc. I’d love to be told to stop working and just get paid the two weeks tho
You won't get paid out your sick leave but you will get paid your vacation accrued to date. Take the sick days first and the day you come back, serve 2 weeks notice. They will likely cut your access right away, pay you for the 2 weeks plus accrued vacation. If you hand in noticer first, your sick day will count as part of your 2 weeks. So, best to use them up first and then serve notice
Don't think about ethics with Citi's scoundrels for one second....not with any bank for that matter. They're ruthless. No need to show any courtesy
You don’t have to give 2 weeks. It is just a respectful thing to do but let’s face it these companies are not respectful. Just quit if you don’t want to work anymore.
