Thread regarding Kyndryl layoffs

@ke yes. Amazing engineer, one of best I've known and had pleasure to work with. Placed on bench because he didn't do certifications that year. They have to use some key to lay people off and when you already got rid of weakest they make selection based on things like obtained amount of certificates and so on... What makes no sense. Everybody in IT understands that experience means way more than certs that there are certain rules that if you follow them you always pass due to the fact of how certifications exams are built. Anyway, soon they will lay off all the engineers who do job and will be left only with managers who will have no one to manage.

Incredible works gets forgotten right after it is done. You start from zero again (if the managers are not the best friends of yours - then you can give a f*ck).
Personally, I highly doubt the layoffs are finalized - there is already a good number of people that agreed to leave by the end of September, October and November and more names are about to come. Those who stay will 'enjoy' the new standard with less and less colleagues and more and more mess :-)
