Look at the warning from the lady from the IMF and the grandfather of AI. Taking most office jobs in <2-3 years. They said months. And no time to prepare people.
If true, it will lead to the collapse of consumerism and then subsequently the collapse of capitalism. Then, great reform.

Remains to be seen but companies seem to think that this is true.
BTW, in the movie, the year it became aware was 1997. You are off by 29 years.
