Rumor has it that IT is due for another round of layoffs. Does anyone Dir+ know what teams or functions they’ll be targeting or timeframe?

Very quiet... unusually quiet... wish they'd be honest and just tell us what they plan to do ... waiting is the worst part of it all...
@kf Who the next day pulled his golden parachute.
If your VP in IT didn’t have layoffs in August for FTEs then yours are coming in October after NPI.
They recently cut VP's and Directors in IT. A rumor is that IT may see more cuts in Senior Managers, Managers, and individual contributors by early October, 2026.
Cuts in October would result in severance happening in 2026. T-Mobile allocated a TON of money for "workforce realignment" this year and its not going to be wasted. I don't think these cuts are limited to IT though, expect widespread cuts again as our numbers going into Q4 are terrible as was already stated by our CFO Peter Osvaldik on TV in July - https://www.thestreet.com/retail/t-mobile-wolfe-research-stock-downgrade-competition
No one director+ is likely to spill the beans here, but past layoffs in the last three years have often been a "little" focused round, then another round 30-45 days later.
So the pattern is there, but it's not a certain thing.
@db the only one hating is you for hating on someone telling their truth
