@1tc Exactly! Pretty soon no one will be able to afford Healthcare except the ultra rich. Something has got to give. The rate that premiums are rising is not sustainable and the quality is getting worse. It’s pretty obvious we can’t expect Insurance Companies who are beholden to Shareholders to fix these problems. It is all lip service.

I actually believe that what we know as commerical insurance today will be very different in a couple years. I really think that healthcare is going to change to some form of universal.
This place would be smart to offer some type of cafeteria benefit structure - people don't want coverage for things they either don't care about or will not use. Maternal/Child benefits if you will never use them. Pick and choose what you need and offer the option to buy up a coverage you may want at a later time.

Standard medical coverage - in/outpatient, SNF, LTACH, Rehab, HHC would be a standard package.

If this place would wake up and offer some level of custodial care they would be smart - sadly decisions are made based on greed

It's the American way of doing business .. their only responsibility is to the stock holders and themselves. They do not care about you.

Check out Optum's page. It's Elevance but three years ahead in terms of mistakes made (we're making the same ones but slower and with less pageantry). Sh-t is bleak over there.

If this offshoring and outsourcing, using cheaper foreign labor, has been going on 10+ years, seems like maybe we should be trying to voice loudly our opinion and try and get the national media and federal government on out side to put a halt to this.
