But they're also less likely to care about the company, sacrifice for it, or stick around. I wish the leadership would realize this.

I think that’s the plan. They don’t want people to stick around long term. Gets too expensive to keep them over time.
Cheaper? The new ones being hired in with no experience are making more money that those who have been with the company over 10 years.
