Managers not able to manage

The amount of people in a management position without the slightest idea of what being a manager means is incredible. Directors that continue to belittle and undermine their managers and direct reports, creates a toxic environment that manager then replicate on thier own teams. I have never seen so many people paid to literally do nothing. Managers spend more time in their cars running errands while attending calls that actual doing the jobs they are paid to

Completely agree. Our director sends random emails asking obvious questions about our team’s work to justify their position. It’s so fcking annoying. They should be the first ones to get cut during the next RIF.

It seems to be very common across the company. No development plans within teams. If a manager needs a shifty tool to remind them to "check in" with their direct reports, you have the wrong person as a manager. The managers , manager are no better.
