I’m ok with them going after some of the Sr Directors still left.. Our Sr Director is part of that “ Good Old Boy Networking”. Unless you are su-king up to him, he sees no value in what you do & doesn’t believe his cr-p pulse survey results are his to own. He thinks it was for the leadership below him and above him. News flash genius, the grading was for Sr Leadership, that’s you.

@ak exactly, good observation. The ops a bot. There is so many ad, director, out there who can’t do anything. They can’t even tell ai how to do what they do. If they are not targeted we are doomed, every layer up to Dan needs to be thinned. Sad but true. I doubt that will happen

...they will be fired. Your verbiage is a clear indicator that you are not in a position with insider info

My director’s favorite line is, “I’ll share it with my directs, and they’ll brief you.” What a waste of time. Why not just bring everyone together and have one conversation? Instead, information gets filtered through multiple layers, which slows everything down and creates unnecessary secrecy. I don’t understand why information has to be compartmentalized instead of shared openly with the people doing the actual work.

I doubt it.... VPs/Directors blame their Teams and Consumer without any leadership

I don’t know. There are a bunch of ADs with only one or two people reporting to them, and they all survived. I’m not sure what they contribute other than acting as messengers and adding friction by withholding information.
My AD does that on purpose so that if I talk to leadership, I don’t have the full picture. It ties back to Dan’s comment about the culture—people in leadership positions don’t let information flow freely.
